Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer key from the current domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific requirements on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
