A: The web site migration service provided by a4host is totally free of charge and involves transferring all your files, databases and e–mails from your present web hosting provider to your new web hosting account with us. We will also update all the settings necessary for your websites to be completely functional on our leading–edge cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are completely capable of transferring just about any website. With years of experience behind their backs, they are experts in the specificities of our hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other famous Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom–made web application with many custom libraries is as easy as transferring a simple WordPress–based blog.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time interval, because there are plenty of factors, among them the size of the files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll try our very best to move your website within 48 hours, and in certain cases – within 24 hours (when the content is not very large).

A: We don’t require any sensitive info. We’ll require, though, the login information for your old web hosting account along with the name of the site that you want to move.

A: Client privacy is indeed one of our primary priorities – this is why, both our payment transaction page and our Control Panel login page are secured with enterprise–grade Secure Sockets Layer certificates. After that, we’ll explain to you how to transfer the domain name over to your web hosting account with us and how to edit the DNS records.

A: While we move your content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the migration at all. We will not get in touch with them in any way.

A: Yup. We support all common Linux–powered web hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–powered hosting platforms, since we don’t provide Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Furthermore, we don’t support proprietary web site creation and administration interfaces like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
